Where does your organisation stand in digital reporting?
On 15 September 2026, we hosted the Digital Reporting Event 2026 at the beautiful Villa Jongerius in Utrecht. During the event, a range of experts discussed the latest trends and developments in digital reporting.
Two things became crystal clear:
- Sustainability, iXBRL and AI are fundamentally changing the annual reporting landscape.
- A digital-first approach is becoming essential to stay ahead of these developments.
The highlight of the day was the launch of the Digital Reporting Benchmark 2026. The benchmark is an initiative of F19 Digital Reporting, Data for Better and DRS.
This report is for finance, investor relations, sustainability, communications and reporting professionals who produce annual reports and now have to decide how to produce them from here on. It shows why high-quality digital corporate reporting matters. It does this by outlining the latest trends and by analysing the quality of the most recent iXBRL filings from AEX- and AMX-listed companies. AI was used to help with research, analysis, drafting and review. The authors reviewed the content and remain responsible for it, but it may still contain errors, and AI does not replace professional judgement.
For the multichannel publication of the report, a standard implementation of the F19 software is used. No custom design has been added; the report is produced using do-it-yourself (DIY) functionality that requires no coding expertise. The report can be viewed in multiple formats:
